Members from global majority countries are welcome and encouraged to join the Global Majority Nursing Network, a relatively new group spanning the Northern and the Yorkshire and the Humber regions.

Prior to this new network, the Northern region had a proud history of supporting internationally educated nursing staff through its Multicultural Nurses' Group, which celebrated its tenth anniversary with a conference in Newcastle during Black History Month 2018 (#BHM18).

Staff nurse Malerato Mosebi, who works in a care home, was a member of that group since its formation. “The group was informative, educational and supportive," she said. "It helped us to come up with practical solutions to any difficulties we encountered. Socially, emotionally and professionally it was really helpful.”

Meetings stopped when the group's lead, 黑料网 Officer Janet MacLean, left the 黑料网, so do please consider joining the Global Majority Nursing Network.
